This was a very nice arrangement the the store set up for me.  Paula made darn sure I had enough traffic going by me to sign a kazillion books if I wanted to.

The Crew

My lovely wife, Min, was the only person who could help me with this signing today.  We got there a little early to set up, and were forced to stay a little later because people were still wanting books signed.  It took a lot out of her, and this may be the last book signing my wife will be able to attend.

Meet Roger . . . he is not only a sci-fi fan, but one of the nicest people on the planet.

Josh's family got together to surprise him with a copy of Fleet.

Happy birthday, Kelly!

This book is for you!!

Wanda, an employee of another store, buys a copy of Fleet for David .. . who I hear is a true sci-fi fan.

This is  J. T.

It seems this fellow is a man of many talents indeed.

Kasey decides he would like a copy of the best science fiction novel in the store...

Wasn't it quite a coincidence that I just happen to be signing copies of it?

Hey, Amanda!

Guess who this lovely lady is buying a copy of Fleet for?

Paula, the store manager, takes time out on her way home to pose with the best sci-fi writer in the store!
The book signing is over.  My wife may be smiling now, but ten minutes earlier she was slumped at the table exhausted.  The poor girl was running all over the mall passing out business cards and bookmarks.  I'd say she was busy because I started off with over 1000 of each, but there were only a handful remaining by the time we left.

Yes, I believe this is my wife's last book signing...

Thanks, Paula, for the enjoyable time signing copies at your store.  As busy as you were when I first arrived, you still took time out to help me get set up.  You're a hell of a lady . . . don't let anyone ever tell you different.
