Description
The Store Front

This store was a little difficult to locate at first.  For one thing, I suggest no one tries to find this store going by the directions found on the Barnes & Noble web site.  If you do, you'll wind up on the wrong side of town . . . 'nuff said.

Uh, the store is located directly across from Ohio State University.

With the signing table located at the front of the store and two great helpers, I was drawing some nice attention.
Scott told me that he liked reading science fiction.  I then told him that I enjoyed WRITING science fiction.

Uh, we seemed to hit it off right away...

Mason and his mother watch as I sign a copy of Fleet of Angels for them.
This is Mason holding a copy of FOA while he poses with one of the luckiest writers on the face of the planet.

(Mason, ask your mother to contact me, please.  She already knows what it is about.  She can reach me at:  Carl@carlmerritt.com )

Ann and Gina buy a copy of Fleet of Angels for Chris.  Anyone want to take any bets that these two lovely ladies wind up BORROWING it from Chris so they can read it also?
Everyone, meet Captain Ed.

It seems that at every book signing, I meet someone who strikes me as being an outstanding individual.  This fine gentleman is one of those people.  Not only did he somehow manage to build a 62' boat by himself and then sail it around the Gulf of Mexico and then to Cuba, but he's also written a book about his adventures.  Yes, a very outstanding man indeed!

Bruce buys a copy of Fleet of Angels for his pal, Phil.
This is a little better picture of Bruce.  The last one didn't quite show his face.
Hmmm . . . I'm obviously signing a copy for someone, but WHO??
Do you think this picture reflects that Judy knows how to pose for the camera, or do you think she is just bored?
Min S. Merritt . . . the best wife a writer could possibly hope for.
